Your reading is personal. Lengua Lizard has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking SDKs. Your library, progress and notes stay on your device. This notice covers the website at lengualizard.com and the Android and iOS apps. Questions or requests: privacy@expent.com.
Your reading position, bookmarks, saved words, ideas, imported books, reading and listening time, and settings (theme, text size, chosen look, sound on or off) are stored in this device's app or browser storage. We do not receive them. You can export a backup in Settings, remove items in the app, and erase everything by clearing the app's or browser's storage or uninstalling the app. A downloaded backup is a separate file that you manage.
Books, narration, illustrations and music are delivered from lengualizard.com. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, requested file and browser or app information) to operate and secure the service. We do not use them to build profiles or for advertising.
The included books and reading tools are free. The apps offer an optional one-time Supporter Edition purchase (the complete Marianela, a supporter badge and extra color accents). Payment is handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never receive your card or payment details.
To check whether you own the Supporter Edition, and to restore it on another device, the apps use RevenueCat as our purchase-verification service. When the app starts, RevenueCat receives a random anonymous ID created by the app, together with basic app and device information needed to talk to the store. If you buy or restore, it also receives the store's purchase records (product, transaction ID, purchase token, price, currency and date). We use this only to unlock what you bought. Advertising identifiers are not collected, and diagnostics are turned off. Google and Apple keep their own purchase records under their policies. To ask us to delete the purchase records linked to your anonymous ID, email us; deleting them can mean a purchase must be restored again from the store.
Settings lets an advanced user connect their own companion server for AI word help, new narration and personal sync. Nothing is sent unless you configure one. When connected, your companion receives the words and passages you ask about, and anything you choose to sync, and it uses the providers its owner configured (for example OpenAI or Asset Yard) under their own policies. A private pairing key is stored on paired devices and is excluded from backups.
Narration, music, Pico's voice and the mini-games play on the device. Sound is on by default and starts after your first tap; turn it off anytime with the speaker button. Lengua Lizard does not use your microphone, camera, contacts or location.

What is kept: Google Play and the App Store keep their own purchase and payment records under their policies, and you can restore a purchase from them later. Web server access logs are deleted automatically after about two weeks.
Lengua Lizard is designed for teens and adults learning a language (13 and older). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
